I don't know when it all started, but my love of Veuve Clicquot is the kind that I know will last forever. It's not a "I'm really into margaritas right now" moment, but the kind of favorite drink that will last a lifetime.
As soon as I landed in Dubai and found out my luggage was still in NYC, you
bet my first stop was to duty free for a nice big bottle. All I had with me were my NYE Manolos and a Badgley Mischka cocktail dress in my carry on, so it just seemed appropriate.
Maybe it's the tangerine colored label, or the fact that I could (can and do) drink a whole bottle without a headache in the morning. Whatever the reason, it will always be a good time.
I spy VC, at home even when surrounded by cheap beer. And yes, I am clutching a bottle of $3 Andre, my only stable college relationship. Whoops!
My birthday bottle this year, while on a cocktail cruise with the fam.
Didn't end up needing the glass, if you catch my drift.
I found this book in Henri Bendel and nearly had a heart attack.
My fave publisher + VC = love.
This little book plus a little bottle would be perfect for any occasion that calls for celebration.
Ha! I love Veuve, too. Definitely my go-to champagne for celebrations.
ReplyDeleteOh you kill me!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad a bottle of Andre was your only stable college relationship. hahahaha
ReplyDeleteHilarious post! I'm a VC fan as well. As for college, I was all about $6 a bottle, J. Roget. For my birthday this year, a bunch of my old sorority sisters sent me a case haha
